THE ROYAL RESTAURANT RUNDOWN

Royal's portfolio of resorts in India not only offers quality accommodation in choice locations, but excellent eating options too. Of course, we strongly suggest you sample the local dishes at whatever highly rated eateries are to be found at your destination, but if you feel like just kicking back atyour resort, we think you'll be more than satisfied with what's on offer, both in terms of cuisine and ambience

Royal's 4 Goa resorts offer a variety of different food outlets with an eye for international flavours. Royal Goan Beach Club at Benaulim boasts a terrace restaurant serving not only local Goan flavours and international dishes, but also an extensive selection of Chinese food - hence the China Beach Restaurant moniker. Lovers of the flavours of the Orient will be pleased to learn that the restaurant recently revised its menu, adding a slew of delicious dishes, not only from China but from Thailand, India and the rest of the world.

Those with a taste for all things Mexican will love Poco Loco, the on site restaurant at our Royal Goan Beach Club in Monte Rio, North Goa. Not only will you find authentic Mexican cuisine and other flavours from around the world served daily between 7.30am and 11pm, but also some great live music. Poco Loco has emerged as something of a hotspot for jazz performances - every Friday & Saturday night between October and May and then Saturdays only through the Monsoon period.

Casa Lisboa at Royal Goan Beach Club Haathi Mahal takes a Portuguese theme, as the name suggests. The restaurant has just undergone an extensive refurbishment, giving it a light, airy and above all colourful ambience redolent of a traditional Portuguese home - it even has an al fresco patio. Here you can indulge in abundant buffet breakfasts with an emphasis on fresh fruits and juices, lunch options that offer the best of Goa and the rest of India as well as all your favourite international selections. The kitchen team even dreams up special dishes every day of the week to keep things always fresh. Right next door is the Jamaica Inn, a Cornish style Pub

At the Royal Goan Beach Club Royal Palms, Benelaum, Trattoria restaurant is situated right beside the pool and regales guests with an idyllic café style setting featuring checkered table clothes and sky blue walls. Offering all day dining, the focus is on classic Italian fare including an extensive menu of pizzas and pastas.

Just next door in the state of Kerala, the Royal Kovalam Beach Club is the very latest edition to Royal Resort's India collection - its newly imagined restaurant is set in a central terrace at the heart of the resort and offers both indoor and al fresco dining.

Finally further North, in the city of Jaipur, you'll find one of our latest resorts, the magical Ratan Haveli, a mansion dating back more than 100 years filled with many original features. Here, dining takes place at the newly renovated Pink Palace restaurant, serving typical Punjabi and Rajasthani dishes done to perfection as well as a substantial menu of international items.
