Finally, some photo's of our Wonderful Holiday at the Bali Beach Resort at Candi Dasa.

This year we took our son Colin his wife Donelle and their 3 x 10 year olds Oliver, Callum and Elizabeth with us for a holiday. The first photo shows Donelle and I taking the cooking class, we are now very proficient at cooking Nasi Goreng. The second photo is of the triplets getting ready for their 1st ever Diving lesson. The third photo is of our family with the Barong Dancers, these Barong Dancers are the best we have ever seen.

HAPPY AT HAATHI MAHAL

Sight Seeing Goa

I became a member of Royal resorts in May 2010, and stayed at Haathi Mahal in the last week of May 2011 for my first holiday. I brought along my parents, and thanks to the helpful staff at Haathi Mahal we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Whatever minor problems we faced the staff quickly attended to. We will fondly remember our stay there.

I would like to mention the name of Mr. Bernard (Front Office manager at Haathi Mahal) who was ever helpful. We also went to your other properties - Royal Palms and Beach Club in Benaulim and again the managers there, Mr. Savio and Mr. Minguel were very helpful in showing us around the properties. I have had excellent experience with the REX Servicing team also. They have responded to all my queries till date and resolved them satisfactorily. I believe your staff like these will make all the difference in ensuring you have many more satisfied members like us. I sincerely hope your organization recognises them.




After our pleasant experience at Haathi Mahal, we feel part of the Royal Resorts family all the more. I feel that Royal Resorts can be the un-disputed best holiday ownership company, with lots of not just satisfied, but delighted customers. I am willing to do my part to help the Royal resorts team achieve that. It is with this feeling that I have made some suggestions based on my experience and observations through the feedback form at Haathi Mahal.

WONDERFUL WEEK AT ALPENCLUB

at AlpenClub

In May this year (2011) we and a couple of German friends spent a wonderful week at the Alpenclub in Schliersee. The resort was fantastic. Our unit was very roomy and comfortable and consisted of kitchen and dining facilities, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, and a living area with balcony. There was wardrobe and drawer space in each bedroom. The Alpenclub restaurant and bar area was attractive and cosy with plenty of dining tables. The lounge area was tastefully decorated and comfortable and, having a selection of books available in English (as well as German and French), was also welcoming.

The availability of laundry facilities in the resort was a bonus and inexpensive to use. The reception staff were most helpful, courteous and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel valued. The resort had safety deposit boxes available for guests (for a small fee) which was great knowing we could leave our passports and airline tickets in a safe location without having to carry them with us all the time. In the restaurant and bar we were well attended by Mr Rajiv Arar who had a delightful personality and was most helpful. The resort has a pool, sauna and gym. We did not avail ourselves of these facilities but one of our friends did and was impressed with the cleaniness of it all. There were a number of activities organised by the resort to various places of interest but as we had a car we did not avail ourselves of these. However, the next time we visit the Alpenclub we shall do so.




The resort is located very close to the main township which can be walked to in 20 minutes while the grocery supermarket is within a 10 minute walk. The local train station is about 15 minutes away and services some of the local towns on the way to Munich (which is about an hour's train trip away). The Schliersee station is very easily reached and, provided you do not have too much luggage and your luggage has wheels, can be easily walked to.

The lake and surrounds are just breathtakingly beautiful. It was lovely to walk around the shore, taking time out to rest along the way at a small coffee/tea house on the other side of the lake for refreshments and to enjoy the beautiful views. There were plenty of restaurants in Schliersee. We were fortunate to be able to attend a free concert at the local arts and entertainment complex where it was just lovely sitting outside listening to music and glancing across the beautiful lake. All in all we could not fault the Alpenclub and as we now know how easy it is to get there from Munich, and indeed as there are flights between Munich and Australia - we shall be returning. There is so much to see and do in the region, yet even if you just stay at the resort and visit the town of Schliersee, you will have a wonderful break. We give the resort, its staff and indeed the township 5 stars.

SHIMLA - JOURNEY TO THE HIGH HIMALAYA

Our holiday at Royal Himalayan Club at Shimla from 28/5/2011 to 4/6/2011

Mumbai gets really hot during May. To let off some steam my family and me decided to take a holiday up north. Luckily just about that time a new Royal resort, The Himalayan Club at Shimla opened up. We quickly booked a week and prepped up for a fantastic holiday in the queen of hills. We arrived at Shimla City early in the morning and traveled another 25 minutes to the resort. The resort is away from the city's hustle and bustle, located amidst tall deodar tress on Naldehra road. A quick look at the resort and you can tell that it was going to be a peaceful week. The interior looks beautiful and gives you a very homely vibe. The suites are also well designed keeping up with the Royal standard. Every room has a juliet balcony which gives you a scenic view of the hills.

The best part about the resorts location is that it is about 30 to 40 minutes from most tourist destination which eases out on the traveling time. As a tourist destination Shimla has so much to offer. But my favorite would be the Viceregal Lodge which is truly an architectural marvel. The very popular Mall Road lived up to its name; we visited it thrice and enjoyed it every single time. The annual Shimla festival was going on during one of our visits to the Mall Road. The showcase of talent was a real delight.

Right from the winding hilly roads to the exciting horse rides to the long walks on Mall Road, we thoroughly enjoyed our 'Shimlaee Holiday'.
