Royal Bali Beach Club at Jimbaran


Two of Royal's Bali resorts - one close to the east coast village of Candidasa and the other in the southern resort area of Jimbaran - have both been undergoing major refurbishments over the last few months. At Jimbaran, extensive landscaping has taken place and the swimming pool waterfall given a new lease of life. A brand new spa has been put in place, greatly enhancing the guest experience. Guests will discover rooms with all new mattresses as well as sofa beds, plus new linens and towels and fully remodeled bathrooms. Free WiFi is also now in place. But there are still plans afoot to do more... over the next year, new marble flooring will be laid, outdoor furniture will be replaced and every room will come with LCD TV. Similar transformations have been taking place at Candidasa. The seawall has been renovated, as has the extremely popular Jacuzzi. A new spa facility has been built, set in newly landscaped resort gardens and all linens have been replaced, ensuring guests a soft and comfortable night's sleep. 11 new cable channels have been added and guests now enjoy free WiFi service. Up next will be the purchase of a brand new generator, new staircases and the upgrade of a further apartment to Imperial.

All four of our Royal Goan Beach Clubs have seen substantial refurbishment over the last few years, and are now offering a wide variety of great services and facilities. Returning members will be pleased to see that work has continued over the last 12 months. In brief:

  • Refurbishment of the Apartments in Blocks A, B & C at Monterio will be completed this year, completing the work commenced last year, and giving all the apartments a whole new feel.
  • The swimming pools and decking areas at both Royal Palms and Monterio have been upgraded to give a wonderful contemporary look and feel. Elegant new sun loungers have also been added.
  • Waterproofing work at Haathi Mahal, Benaulim and Monterio has continued to help prevent seepage during monsoon.
  • At Haathi Mahal and Monterio the exteriors are being completely repainted with antifungal acrylic emulsion, and any cracks or damaged concrete is being repaired. Exteriors at Beach Club and Royal Palms are to be touched up.
  • 46 sofa beds at Haathi Mahal, 25 sofa beds at Monterio and all of the sofa beds in Non Imperial apartments at Beach Club have been replaced with new and side chairs reupholstered in fabric to match.
  • At Haathi Mahal and Royal Palms, new non stick kitchen utensils have been placed in all member apartments.
  • At all resorts a Nilfisk scrubbing machine, Jet Pressure and Wet and Dry vacumn cleaner have been purchased for the common areas.
  • A number of beds have been replaced with new as required at Beach Club.
  • At Haathi Mahal, 23 Oven Toaster Grills have been replaced with new, while at Royal Palms, 100 new hairdryers, 100 irons, and 50 ironing boards have been replaced with new in member apartments.
  • At Haathi Mahal, 2 new generators have been installed and commissioned, while at Beach Club the generator has been overhauled.
  • At Haathi Mahal a new STP plant is being designed and installed, and sewage lines relaid, while the mains water supply has been fitted with a new filtration system.
  • At Royal Palms and Monterio, essential work to the electrics has commenced.
